At the Keschdefeschd from 3 to 5 October 2025 in Annweiler am Trifels, numerous stalls will be offering dishes and products made from and with chestnuts. There are sweet and savoury variations, for example chestnut cream, chestnut liqueur, chestnut honey, chestnut sausage, chestnut chutney, chestnut dumplings and chestnut bread. The market also offers regional and seasonal products such as new wine, game products, French cheese, sheep products and decorations.
The market stalls are open from 11 am to 6 pm on all festival days and there is musical entertainment in the afternoon. Children can go on a chestnut hunt in the festival area. Those who successfully complete the rally will receive a small surprise.
On the Saturday of the festival, the 21st chestnut princess for the Trifelsland will be crowned, the first and only one in Germany. Who the reigning Keschdeprinzessin Hannah II will pass on her crown to will of course not be revealed until the coronation. The Keschdefeschd is classified as a ‘festival for all’.
